How to Install a Canon Printer Without the Installation Disk?

Printers can be connected to the system without having an installation CD. The system should be connected to an internet connection.

Now follow the steps to install the system.

Connect the printer to the system.
Turn ON the system and printer.
Open the browser window.
On the right side, click on the icon and click on "print.. ".
In the wizard opened, a list will be displayed. Select the option, "Add a local printer ".
Now choose the port. Select the option "create a new port ".
Click "next ".
Enter the port name and click OK.
Next in the wizard is the list of connected printers. The window will ask to install the driver for selected printer.
Select the printer and click "next ".
Select the option "replace the current driver” and click "next ".
Provide the printer name.
The installation progress will be shown on the screen.
A message will appear that Canon printer has been successfully installed.
Select the option to make it as a default printer and click "Finish ".
